FILM
As Big a Thing as the Ocean (Feature-Length) Lead Actor, Producer, and Original Music, Four Birds Pictures 2007
Filmed on-location over 2 months in bars, hotels, and roadsides throughout New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Marfa and Las
Vegas, ABTO tells the story of a guy who loses everything in a hurricane. Thinking he has learned a valuable lesson, he sets
out optimistically to find fame and fortune on the road. On his exodus from New Orleans, he meets a too-young Darlene. He
falls in love and thinks he has it made. But his newfound love and confidence are more than he can handle. This is the story
of his breakdown. You can see the trailer at www.robotmachinegun.com/ocean_trailer.mov
The Objects of Living (Short) Co-writer, Co-director, Music, Co-lead, w/Brian Torrey Scott. Catwalk Residency 2007
During a two-week residency I collaborated with Brian Torrey Scott. We enacted archetypal aspects of life: comradery,
competition, relationship and religious ceremony. Four different painting-like still shots framed the narrative. I wrote the
score on guitar and transposed it to play on the pump organ they have at Catwalk.
The Bite (Animated Short) Writer, Director, Animator, Sound Design, VO, Screened 4/19 Chicago Film Brigade 2007
Like Don Quixote attacked the windmills to defend Rosenante, this man tries to take down the forces threatening the one he
loves. I drew the frames with a mouse on my old PC, and follied the sound and voice over in my apartment.
The Gentlemen’s Gentlemen (Short) w/Brian Getnick & Noe Kidder, Lead Actor, VO, Puppeteer, Belgium May 08 2007
Video and a live performance involving actors and a large puppet-like costume, I played a chandelere (personified) in love
with a potted palm, and a wild boar. I will be going to Belgium in May to perform live as a companion to the video..
Pitch and Tone (Feature-Length) Supporting Role, Post-Production sound and PR Four Birds Pictures 2006
I played a small part in this feature length film, but it sparked the creation of ABTO and Four Birds Pictures of which I am a
co-founder.
